The Ambr® 250 Modular is an innovative, easy-to-use, expandable benchtop system that includes from 2 to 8 fully integrated single-use mini bioreactors with volumes of 100 – 250 mL. The bioreactor has a wide range of applications in process optimization and characterization.

Overview of the Ambr® 250 Modular System

Ambr® 250 Modular vessel for cell and gene therapy

The new vessel design has an impeller with a large inclined blade and a working volume of 100-250 ml.

The vessel allows gentle shaking and mixing without sedimentation, enabling optimal growth of single-cell suspensions, cell aggregates or adherent cells on microcarriers

In trials with leading cell and gene therapy companies, the new mini bioreactor demonstrated better cell culture performance compared to less predictive carousel or T-flask models, enabling rapid process optimization and improved scalability to larger bioreactors.

The vessel is suitable for:

  • rapid development and process optimization
  • HEK293, CAR-T and other therapeutic cell lines
  • other crops that require special mixing at a lower impeller speed
