Virosart® HF Filters

Virosart® HF combines the highest level of virus protection with flexible capacity for virus retention filtration of monoclonal antibodies, antibody fragments or small recombinant proteins. The filter targets non-enveloped viruses, such as MVM and vesivirus, and large enveloped viruses, such as MuLV, providing a full range of coverage to improve the quality of your process.

Applications:

• target molecule: the main application for Virosart® HF, for virus retention filtration are monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody fragments (Fab) or small recombinant proteins (<150 kD)
• positioning: Virosart® HF is used at the end of the purification process for viral filtration of the biopharmaceutical product
• operating principles: virus filtration works on the basis of size exclusion. Small non-enveloped viruses and large envelope viruses were retained in an asymmetric 20 nm membrane structure.
