Applications:
- virus purification - Virosart® HC retains ≥ 4 LRV small enveloped viruses (eg PPV, MVM) and ≥ 6 LRV large enveloped viruses (eg MuLV)
- target molecules - the main applications of Virosart® HC filters for viruses are hydrophobic contents such as IVIG or any other plasma derivatives, as well as hydrophobic antibodies and recombinant proteins (<150 kD)
- positioning - Virosart® HC is used at the end of the purification process of biopharmaceutical products to filter the virus. At this stage, the purity of the biopharmaceutical product is the highest, so the impurities (DNA, CHOP, aggregates and lipoproteins) on the filter will be low.
