Vivapore® 5 and Vivapore® 10/20 disposable ultrafiltration devices ready for use - for samples up to 20 ml. They are optimally used to concentrate macromolecules in clinical specimens such as urine, cerebrospinal fluid, or other biological solutions.
Two different devices are available:
Without the need for additional equipment, solvent adsorption is the most economical and acceptable concentration technique available for clinical applications. Simply fill the unit with the solution to be concentrated, wait for the desired concentration level to be reached, and then pipette the concentrated sample from the container at the bottom of the concentrator. Vivapore® static concentrators are offered as separate chambers, together with disposable plastic stands for up to four units. In contrast to other, larger products with multiple adjacent concentration channels, there is no risk of cross-contamination between individual Vivapore® units. Vivapore® 5 and 10/20 are often used for urine concentration prior to subsequent Bence-Jones protein analysis by gel or capillary electrophoresis.
