MEP HyperCel | Mixed-Mode Chromatography Resins

MEP HyperCel provides a unique separation mechanism and selectivity for protein isolation, with immunoglobulin selectivity based on an optimized ligand for monoclonal antibody capture and intermediate purification. The MEP ligand facilitates the binding of immunoglobulins as well as other target proteins at neutral pH under moderate salt concentrations.

MEP HyperCel is a flexible mixed-mode chromatography resin designed for capturing and purifying antibodies and various recombinant proteins, from laboratory to production scale.

MEP HyperCel resin offers a salt-free/low-salt alternative to conventional HIC, simplifying processes and improving cost-efficiency by eliminating the need for salt addition and UF/DF steps. The MEP ligand is immunoglobulin-selective, making MEP HyperCel highly effective for capturing IgG and enhancing the removal of DNA, HCP, and aggregates. Elution occurs under mild conditions.

Features & Benefits:

  • Unique separation mechanism and differentiated selectivity
  • Direct protein capture from various raw materials
  • No salt addition required for binding – simpler process, lower costs, and reduced waste
  • Stable for harsh cleaning with NaOH

Applications:

  • Alternative to hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) without or with low salt
  • Monoclonal and polyclonal IgG capture and intermediate purification (aggregate, DNA, and HCP removal)
  • Direct capture of recombinant proteins or enzymes from raw materials without the need for pH or conductivity adjustments
