Biostat® B is our universal desktop controller for mixing and rocking systems. This multi-functional control tower opens up a new world of flexibility for your changing requirements. Use it as a single or double configuration and choose your growing chamber from our proven range of options: the standard Univessel® Glass mixing tank, the Univessel® SU disposable mixing tank and the RM Rocker rocking platform with Flexsafe® RM bags.

Designed to meet your specific needs, Biostat® B covers a wide range of applications, from use as a flexible basic unit for clinical research to a fully qualified system that meets the requirements of a certified GMP environment. You can use our Biostat® B for growing animal, plant and insect cells, as well as for microbiological fermentation.

Proven efficiency of breeding vessels and advanced automation

Univessel® Glass

Our borosilicate glass culture vessels can be autoclaved and are available in four different quantities: 1 L, 2 L, 5 L and 10 L for all types of cell cultures and microbiological applications.

Univessel® SU

RM Rocker

Our bioreactor consists of a swinging platform with a Flexsafe® RM bag carrier in the form of a cushion for a culture volume of 100 mL to 25 L. Use it as a basic system or in combination with the Biostat® B control tower and disposable optical pH and DO sensors that enable advanced batch, batch, and continuous perfusion management strategies.

Automatic input control

Design your process strategy or choose different options. Configure your Biostat® B with gravimetric input control, gravimetric level control or substrate addition profiles. This allows you to run your Biostat® B in batch, continuous or perfusion mode.

Automatic dissolved oxygen (DO) control

In addition to the classic DO control, we have developed a unique advanced DO controller that gives you more flexibility to develop and optimize your DO management strategy. The advanced DO controller supports the parallel adjustment of all DOs that affect parameter settings such as agitator speed and airflow rate and pure oxygen.
